Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Percutaneous leaflet repair with the MitraClip device (Abbott Vascular, Menlo Park, CA) is safe and effective in patients severe functional mitral regurgitation (FMR). Residual or recurrent MR may occur up to 40% associated persistent symptoms impaired survival. The anatomical characteristics residual after are not well defined by computed tomography angiography (CTA) FMR population. Methods A retrospective analysis significant FMR, who underwent retrospective-gated CTA at Minneapolis Heart Institute between July 2015 January 2020, identified those percutaneous MitraClip. Anatomical parameters were assessed pre-procedure compared without (?2) MR. Results total 25 included (median[Q1, Q3]; age, 80[75, 85]; 44% men) classified into ventricular (V-FMR, n = 12) atrial (A-FMR, 13) according CTA. 50% V-FMR 38% A-FMR had residual/worsening Among MR, shorter coaptation length was observed (2.2[2, 2.3] mm vs. 3.5[3, 4], p 0.006) (Figure). No differences seen patients. Characteristics of computed tomography in hemodynamically unstable blunt trauma patients

Emergent exploratory laparotomy is recommended for hemodynamically unstable blunt trauma patients suspected of having hemoperitoneum. However, given the unreliability of ultrasonography and rapid scan speed of computed tomography (CT), CT might help clinicians provide accurate information even in hemodynamically unstable trauma patients. This observational study aimed to describe the bleeding s...

Reliability of Persian Early Computed Tomography Score in Patients with Brain Infarction

Background: The one-third middle cerebral artery (1/3 MCA) method and Alberta Stroke Program Early Computed Tomography Score (ASPECTS) were used to detect significant early ischemic changes on brain computed tomography (CT) of patients with acute stroke. We designed the Persian Early CT Score (PECTS) and compared it with the above systems. Methods: The tomograms were chosen from the stroke data...
